How to Age Wood With Vinegar and Steel Wool

Today we are going to show you how to give wood an aged look using vinegar and steel wool. This method makes the stain in hours, not weeks. You want to use super fine 0000 steel wool.

Break up your steel wool. This step is not strictly required, but it will help the disintegration process and speed things up. You will want to wear plastic gloves to avoid cutting your fingers. Cut the steel wool pads, and put the pieces in the container you are mixing your stain in.

Combine your materials. Just pour the vinegar over the steel wool, or you can add vinegar first if you would like, as pictured in the video.
